Confident, Invincible and Protected

Bjørn Magnussen works from intuition, allowing the first movement of the hand to determine the form before analysis takes over. Confident, Invincible and Protected began as spontaneous objects and were translated into bronze without smoothing away the pressure, folds and openings of the originals. Each sculpture is cast in an edition of 11 and individually patinated. Together, the three works show how scale, silhouette and surface can change while the directness of the original gesture remains.
