Terms of Sale

These terms apply to every acquisition of a work from Edition Solenne, whether completed at online checkout or by invoice.

Company identification

Edition Solenne, Copenhagen, Denmark. Company registration (CVR) number 45628795. VAT is registered under the same number. Correspondence and notices: contact@editionsolenne.com.

The work and the edition

An edition is an authorised work produced in a declared number, usually from a mould, matrix, model or repeatable process developed with the artist. It is not an unauthorised copy. The edition size and the number of artist's proofs are stated on each work page and on the certificate.

Works made by hand vary. In bronze, each cast is chased and patinated individually, so tonal and surface variation should be expected across an edition. Dimensions and weights are stated as approximate.

Prices, VAT and currency

Prices are shown in the currency you select and include Danish VAT where it applies. For deliveries outside the EU, VAT treatment is stated on the invoice. Business buyers with a valid EU VAT number may be invoiced without Danish VAT where the reverse-charge rules apply.

All works are offered subject to prior sale and availability.

Payment schedule

Online purchases are paid in full at checkout. Invoiced purchases are payable within 8 days of the invoice date unless another schedule is agreed in writing.

Where a deposit or staged payments are agreed, the deposit secures the work and the balance is payable before dispatch. Deposits are applied to the purchase price and are refundable only where the work cannot be delivered.

Reservations

A work can be held for 48 hours on request. A hold is confirmed by email, is not a purchase, and lapses automatically if it is not converted or extended.

Title transfer

Ownership of a work passes to the buyer when the purchase price has been paid in full. Where staged payments are agreed, we retain title until the final payment is received.

Delivery and risk

Risk passes to the buyer on delivery at the agreed address. Transport is insured to the invoiced value until delivery. Visible damage should be noted on the delivery paperwork and reported to us within 7 days.

Packing, lead times, delivery and installation are described on our shipping and delivery page.

Customs and import

For deliveries outside the EU, import duties, taxes and customs clearance costs are the buyer's responsibility unless we have quoted delivered-duty-paid in writing. We provide the documentation required for export and, where relevant, for temporary import.

Certificate terms

Each work is supplied with a certificate signed and numbered by the artist and the publisher. The certificate identifies artist, title, year, material and edition number and remains part of the work. It should be transferred with the work on resale. Replacement certificates are not issued; a written confirmation of the archive record can be provided to the registered owner.

Cancellation and withdrawal

Cancellation before production, the consumer right of withdrawal and damage claims are set out in our refund policy.

Intellectual property and image use

Copyright in each work remains with the artist. Purchase of a work does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.

Images, text, video and design on this site belong to Edition Solenne or to the respective artists and photographers. Editorial use is available on request through a press enquiry, with the credit line we supply. Commercial reproduction, resale of images, and use in advertising or AI training datasets require written permission.

Complaints

Write to contact@editionsolenne.com with your order reference and we will acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve the matter within 14 days. Consumers in Denmark may also refer a dispute to Nævnenes Hus, Center for Klageløsning, and consumers elsewhere in the EU may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection available in the buyer's country of residence.
