Refund Policy

How cancellations, refunds and damage claims are handled for works and editions acquired through Edition Solenne.

Last updated November 2025

Cancellation before production

Some works ship from stock in Copenhagen; others are produced to order. Where a work is produced to order, the order can be cancelled in writing without cost at any point before production begins.

Consumer right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU may withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the work. Notify us in writing within that period and return the work unused and in its original packing. We arrange return transport; the cost is carried by the buyer unless the work was faulty or misdescribed.

Works produced to the buyer's specification or with individual choices may fall outside the statutory withdrawal right. Where that applies, it is stated in writing on the invoice before payment. Business and institutional acquisitions are governed by the terms of sale rather than consumer withdrawal rules.

Damage in transit

If a work arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the packing and the work. Transport is insured to the invoiced value. We resolve valid claims by repair, replacement from the edition where one is available, or a refund where neither is possible. Please keep the original packing until the claim is settled.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, or by bank transfer for invoiced purchases, within 14 days of the returned work arriving with us or of the claim being agreed.
